Lykke Driftwood Circular Needles

I love good tools. When I am working on a new design, it is a must for me to have needles in my hands that make me happy as much as the yarn does. My requirements for good needles are: slick enough to allow stitches to move fast but not fall off the needle; great smooth connection of a needle and the cord; flexible cord that does not coil; and longer tip that is not too dull.

Lykke (Norwegian for happiness) Driftwood Interchangeable set has all that.

Beautiful, well-thought though and well-made design of these needles is undeniable. It has a modern, Scandinavian minimalist style that does not compete with any choice of yarn next to it.

The range in this set is US 4 - US 17.

Beautiful grey denim case is a good addition to the look.

Along with needles, there are two 24-inch and 32-inch cords, a 40-inch cords, keys for securing connections, and the connectors of cords to make them long.

Each needle is marked with the size.

Overall the size of a case is not bulky and fits in a knitting bag or a suitcase fine.

5-inch needles have tips that are also designed well for any kind of knitting ranging from texture to lace.

I knit all kinds of patterns with these needles and they are performing just fine.

One thing to remember as you connecting a needle to the cord: after you screw it on, use the provided key that you place into a hole in a needle and tighten it up. Otherwise you might find yourself in a middle of the long row holding your knitting without the needle going through stitches! Ouch!

I used single Lykke needles before and wanted to get the set. Now I have it.

Company that makes these needles in Kathmandu, Nepal is called Lykkecrafts. The primer distributor is Knitting Fever Inc.

Now there are many kinds of sets and single needles in many colors, so you could also have fun choosing them.

In conclusion, I highly recommend these needles. Give it a try, if you did not yet. Of course, it has to be just right for you, so begin with a single needle and see if you agree with me or not.

Since I work with needles every day, I have tried most of the brands. I have my favorites. This is just one of them.

Let me know what you think about it.
