Back from Interweave Yarn Fest

I took this picture flying over the magical snowy mountains coming back from Denver. It sums it up for me. The experience of teaching for four days two three-hour classes a day with so much interaction with knitters who are eager to learn and try new things is unbelievably satisfactory. It is also beautiful and worth coming for. It is perfection of what I want to do.

I love to see projects made from my patterns.

Susan Moylan came from Northern CA to take classes in Loveland, CO. Last year she took my Beginning Brioche class. Learned it in three hours and came back home fired up to make something in this new to her technique. She loved my Mod brioche cowl and chose these beautiful colors for it.

This year she came back and took some other classes from me. She also came with finished cowl to show. I am in awe of her skills and color choices. Thank you for choosing my pattern Susan!

Make it stand out

Anne Russell is also from CA. In fact, she is my friend and fellow knitter. This was her first experience coming to a venue as big as Yarn Fest and she took advantage of what it offers. Anne is wearing my design called Shades of Amber. It is done in with woven slip stitch patterns and Dew drop cast on.

Love the result of substituting yarn weight to DK and, of course, the color choices.

Great job, Anne, and thank you.

The market at Loveland was very good with many local or at least nearby businesses.

Mode Knit Yarn

One of my favorite yarn company. The colors and fiber content are so beautiful that is hard to choose. This time I knew what I was looking for. These three colors will be used for a boy’s sweater with stripes. Sign up for my newsletter for the first glance at it once it is done.

Thank you, Mode Knit Yarn!!

Knitty Gritty

Knitty Gritty Fiber Arts is a hand-dyed yarn studio in Rio Rancho, NM.

I have met Danny for the first time and fell in love with the colors he has. It is a very new company and I want to help them with doing a small design for them.

If you want to see their website, here is the link to their website.

In two weeks I am off to a retreat at Buffalo, NY. I will be the only instructor there and I am sure it will be a lot of fun. More when I return. See my Instagram posts and stories.
